PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF DANIEL FOON

I was born in a Buddhist family. My father died when I was 3 years old. As a young boy I grew up in the Children's Home and later transferred to a Boys Home until the age of 13.

I do not have much of parental care and as a result I was always involved in stealing, fighting, and creating a lot of trouble in school and in the neighbourhood.

One day while we were playing in front of the house suddenly a white man in his fifties came over to us. He gave us some candies and spoke to us for a while and later ask us if we would like to go to Sunday School.

One day while we were playing in front of the house suddenly a white man in his fifties came over to us. He gave us some candies and spoke to us for a while and later ask us if we would like to go to Sunday School.

That following Sunday morning as usual we were playing, that same white man showed up in a big car in front of the house. I together with a few other boys were so excited and we got into his car and off to Sunday School for the first time in my life.

From that time onwards I used to attend Sunday School regularly. I was then 14 years of age and I do not really know whether I have become a Christian or have I said the sinners prayers. Somehow as I look back to those early days I believe the Holy Spirit was slowly molding my early teenage.

At the age of 16, I gave my life to Jesus and the following year in a Church camp in Singapore I was baptised in the Holy Spirit. Since then my life was totally changed. From a rebellious naughty boy, I became a very different character.

I thank God for blessing my life and keeping me faithful all through the years.

I pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen me and fill me with His joy all the days of my life.

Amen!
